Commuter Connections is a drop-in story sharing workshop that invites participants to create and exchange a personal story inspired by ordinary objects encountered in our day to day travels.
The creators of this workshop, Gillian Epstein and Elisa Hamilton, have a shared conviction that exploring personal narratives can re-enchant our relationship with everyday experiences and objects in meaningful ways. Objects can serve as trampolines or portals for stories, circumventing creative blocks or inhibitions and providing surprising pathways and connections to other stories, to ourselves, and to each other.
The mission of Commuter Connections is to illuminate the everyday through the exploration of personal stories, and to activate the possibility of connecting with other people and their stories as we move from place to place throughout our day.
To participate, drop in between 12:00pm and 2:00pm on the 20 – no advanced sign up required! (12:00, 12:20, 12:40, 1:00, 1:20, 1:40) This workshop is free and all materials will be provided.
