Open Kitchens 2020 Launch Event at CultureHouse with Syrian Cuisine

Please join us for a pop-up dinner event at the CultureHouse in Kendall Square, Cambridge.
Paul Castiglione, founder of Open Kitchens Project, will invite us to celebrate our first event of 2020 and to consider how to have more connections in real life in 2020. Paul is a certified coach, foodie and community organizer, and currently lives in Somerville, MA.
Together we’ll celebrate all of us who have helped make our first year of popup community dinner events (about 30 so far) so tasty, fun, and encouraging: the hosts, chefs, conversation curators and guests. Meet other community members, share your stories, check out the pictures and kick off the new year being the community you hope to see in the world!
And enjoy authentic Middle Eastern cuisine prepared by Sam Edrissi, a Syrian immigrant, long-time chef, and restaurant owner. Here’s chef Sam’s delicious menu:
Appetizer: Falafel with mint and tahini (sesame seed) sauces and stuffed eggplant (nuts)
**Chicken Shawarma plate – not a wrap (yogurt) and Kofta kabob (beef and lamb)
Green salad, hummus (sesame seed), and Syrian bread (wheat) and rice
Dessert – Bakalava or Kunifa (yogurt)
**Fish Alternative to meat dishes (please let us know): salmon kabob (grilled with middle eastern spices – garlic lemon) and served with special Tahini sauce (sesame seed)
**Vegetarian alternative (please let us know): Vegetarian platter includes hummus (sesame seed), tabouli (wheat), stuffed grape leaves and falafel.
