Connect Kendall Square Seeks Public Input

A rendering from the SITELAB team.

Have a vision of how Kendall Square should look? Time to speak up! The city is looking for input on the final design teams who in October advanced to the final stage of the Connect Kendall Square design competition.

The contest is a response to the extensive changes Kendall Square experienced after years of development. In an effort to maintain public access in the neighborhood, the city is conducting a design competition that will redevelop five acres of new and renovated public space. The plans are now open to public comment, which you can submit to the Connect Kendall Square website. Notably, you’ll be able to map your site-specific concerns using ShareAbout, an online mapping system that allows users to pin comments to a map of Eastern Cambridge.

The final four teams, whose plans you can review online, will take public comments before presenting their will present their plans on March 25 and 26, location TBD.
