The task of finding a non-intimidating bike shop might seem like a tall order, especially for newer cyclists, but Broadway Bicycle School’s worker-owned space has earned the Best Bike Shop title again for being a truly inclusive, bright light in the biking community. The one-stop-shop for bike rentals, purchases, and repairs also offers monthly classes like Grrrease, an open shop for femme, trans, and female-identifying bikers and mechanics, and special events like its annual pancake breakfast. Besides doing its due diligence in including all Cantabrigians, Broadway Bicycle School treats its staff well, maintaining a $15 minimum wage and health insurance for its full-time workers. Even canine and feline friends have something to love with regular pet posts on Instagram and treats for four-legged visitors.
