Specialty food shop Salt & Olive is on the cusp of opening its doors in The Garage (36 JFK St.), with a target date of Saturday, April 13.
The new space, which is double the the size of the store’s original location at 1160 Massachusetts Ave., will allow for a broader range of products and classes. Salt & Olive will have new focuses on everything from fresh pasta to cheese and charcuterie to bread, with programming around spices, books, and more, according to Owner Mary Taylor.
The new space is also in a more desirable location, Taylor explains.
“We wanted to be closer to the heart of Harvard Square,” she says.
The opening date isn’t set in stone, according to Taylor, so eager visitors can stay updated by checking Salt & Olive’s website and Instagram page.
